sooo...heute is mein global-grinds deck angekommen! smile

ich war auch gleich mal beim kille testfahren...und ich muss sagen ich bin echt ersatunt was für ein unterschied es für mich macht!!! am anfang war es erst ein bisschen komisch aber als ich mich daran gewöhnt hatte bin ich jetzt echt froh das ich mir eins gekauft habe!! ich hab jetzt, da mein ganzer fuß auf das deck passt, vieeeeel mehr gefühl für das ganze bord und fühl mich nach einem tag fahren schon sicherer als auf meinem alten!! also ein großes dankeschön an brian! und ich kann es echt jedem weiterempfehlen!!

Kann ich nur bestätigen, ich fahr jetzt mein GG seit Pfingsten und es ist einfach unglaublich geil.

Auf rauem Asphalt werden die Vibrationen nicht mehr so krass übertragen und ich hab einfach ein viel ruhigeres und angenemehres Gefühl auf dem Bord. Da klappert nichts oder knarzt wenn ich in Carve gehe biggrin

ja das ist mir auch schon aufgefallen.. es knarzt und klappert wirklich weniger, muss das gute (deutsche ?) Holz sein in kombination mit epoxydharz (mehrere schichten) und vielleicht auch die liebevolle Verarbeitung von Hand. Wenn das Deck nächstes Jahr immer noch intakt is muüßt ihr mal wieder berichten wie es reagiert nach extremen Freebord Trips und so..

ich schau mal aus welchem Ursprungsland das Holz herkommt.

Wie teuer ist den so ein GG deck? und wird es von dir wirklich auf die Bedürfnisse des Kundens angepasst?

Whats goin down brian!?

So I have been meaning to get back to you about the GG 84 wide with the 9ply and 2 layers of fiberglass. At first I couldnt really test it to its full potential because of the 85mm wheel issue which you know about. Once I tossed on a pair of 80mm yellow slashers and 72mm centers shit was on! I hit up a hill near my house that was just freshly paved and was eagered to ride it. Nothin to crazy or to simple, fairly nice incline with a few S turns and nice sidewalk runs. I was stoked to see how this custom bord comapred to my 85 bamboo wide. My first run I just kinda messed around taking it easy and feelin out the road before I get to crazy on it. Last thing I wanna do is bomb a hill where I dont know where things are in the road that can make me eat shit! I will say the 84 wide fits like a glove for my size 6'2 and 220lbs. The board itself feels bomb proof as compared to the bamboo. When I ride the bamnoo it has more flex which I have heard from others is good for freestyle; however with this new 9ply board, there is very little lateral flex. Meaning if your going for a board slide your board wont flex as much as the bamboo. Having said that though, I personally am afraid of snapping my bamboo deck if I was goin to hit rails or any big gap just cause of the shear impact and force being put on the castors and the waist of the board. The GG deck I am confident will take the abuse of hittin large gaps which I am still workin on; most of the stuff I want to hit I need a bungee to get speed. Now while the GG deck may not flex laterally, it does have very good torsional flex which combined makes an amazing downhill board. It has just enough torsion in the waist to let the rider feel the independent movement of each edge wheel which in turn gives the rider a more responsive and better controlled ride. But not to much torsion to the point where its to flexy and scares the shit out of you when riding fast.

I recentlly tossed a set of DaBlues on it and when hittin fresh pavement, feels like riding in powder! The shape of the board is simple yet functional. The wider base is a sick touch for riders with larger feet and preventing toe bite. At the same time though it is weight saving from the simple sharp hard line cuts at the nose and tail instead of the traditionl rounded edges such as those found in the bamboo. The waist of the deck is solid! At first I was alittle skeptical seeing it as a weak point on the board but after riding I am convinced that you can do anything and hit anything with no problem! Press's on this board is crazy! You can press so easy on these wide boards, and seems even easier to go into switch from a press. For example, a nose press to switch 180 nose press. Over all, this board is fuckin solid!!! Since riding I havnt had any stress cracks, blemishs, or fatigue in the board. The concave is perfect. This board brings the best of both worlds together, the stability you need for downhill runs, and the durability you want for freestyle. This is the perfect board for larger riders. If you have a smaller build, you may think that the board is a little heavy and may have some trouble gettin pop off of it. But other than that I think this is an exceptional all-around board! Definitly prefered over my 85 wide bamboo, and much love to Global Grinds for the hookup!

Das musste mal gesagt werden. Hab mein Deck nun seit dem Wochenende. Was soll ich sagen. Besser gehts nichts. Konnte bisher nur ein bissel fahren weil die Zeit gefleht hat. Aber der Erste Eindruck BOMBE

Welches schöne Unikat darf ich meins nennen, das Charger Symetric 83 optimum flex (Fotos folgen)

Davor hatte ich das 80er Bamboo Deck, auch ein schönes Deck. Es ist hart und fährt sich echt gut. Aber bei meiner Schuhgröße von 45, haben die Füße vorne und hinten über gestanden. Ab und zu bin ich dann auch mit den Fuß an den Edge-wheels hängen geblieben.

Nun die ersten Fahrten mit meinem GG-Deck. Endlich haben meine Füße super halt und stehen komplett auf dem Deck. Das Fahrgefühl ist dadurch viel geiler. Man spürt wunderbar die Straße und hat ne gute Rückmeldung vom Brett. Die Kontrolle ist echt genial und viel besser als beim Bamboo Deck. Es ist wirklich ein geiles Deck zum Freebord fahren, das ich mit besten Gewissen weiterempfehlen kann.
